Overview
This office pool is a spin off of our Super Bowl Squares. There are a few variations we have came up with, but the main idea is to have 3 different winning squares, one for Gold Medals, one for Silver Medals, and one for Bronze Medals. To find the first winning square you will total up the number of Gold Medals received by the USA, Canada, and the Netherlands. This number will be used for the top row number. You will then total up the Gold Medals that Russia, Norway, and Germany receive. This number will be used as your left column number. Keep in mind you will be using the last digit of the total medals number. Repeat this process for Silver and Bronze medals.

Step 1
Print the square grid from above and take it grid around to family, friends, and co-workers, having each participant place their name in the square or squares of their choice.

Step 2
Once all the squares are full it is time to set up the drawing. This can be done in many ways, listed below are a few examples. After determining the drawing method, draw the numbers one at a time placing the numbers from left to right starting with the first gray square box in the top row, continue across the top row until the numbers are gone.

After that is complete you will redraw the numbers, this time placing the drawn numbers in the gray square boxes in the left column, starting at the top.
Example 1: Write the numbers 0-9 on pieces of paper and place them in a hat.
Example 2: Get a deck of cards A through 10, the ace represents a one, the 10 represents a 0, 2-9 are face value

Step 3
Now is time for the fun!! To determine a winning square you will be using the last digit of the accumulated medals total from each group of countries.

Example: After the games have ended the Gold Medal Counts are as follows:

USA - 12

Canada - 10

Netherlands - 7

Russia - 13

Norway - 11

Germany - 7

The total Gold Medals received for the countries in the top row is 29. The total Gold Medals received by the left column countries is 31. You will find the number 9(last digit of 29) in the top row and the number 1(last digit of 31) in the left column. Find the square where these two numbers intersect and the person's name that square is the winner for Gold Medals. Repeat these steps for Silver and Bronze Medals to get your 3 winning squares.

Variation
If you would like to have more than 3 winners you can use the same idea as above, but instead use individual countries instead of using their accumulated totals. So, you would use the medals won by USA/Russia, Canada/Norway and Netherlands/Germany to create 9 different winning squares.
