The NIT Tournament, also known as the National Invitation Tournament, is played at the end of the NCAA College Basketball season. Although the tournament structure is the same as the March Madness Bracket it is only made up of 32 teams. The teams invited to play in the NIT tournament failed to qualify for the March Madness tournament.
