What is a Draft Office Pool?
The Draft Pollis a variation to the normal Tournament bracket Office Pool. The idea of the pool is simple. Participants will rotate drafting a set number of teams. Each time one of their teams win they are awarded points, the participant with the most points at the end of the pool wins. Try our Blind Draw Pool for another variation. Begin by getting the Printable Bracket. The steps below explain how to run this pool.

Step 1
Get some friends, family, and co-workers together. You can do this with as few or as many people as you want but it works best with just 4 or 8 people. Everyone that is participating needs to be at the draft.

Step 2
Have a drawing to see the order in which each player will draft their team. Starting with the first person they will pick the team they think will advance furthest in the tournament, then the second person will choose their team ect... After each person has chosen a team in the first round the second round will begin, this time the draft order will be reversed(4th team will get to draft first). Here is an example of the order of the first 4 rounds. Round 1(1,2,3,4) Round 2(4,3,2,1) Round 3(1,2,3,4) Round 4(4,3,2,1). Continue this until all of the teams have been drafted. At the end of the draft everyone should have the same amount of teams. If there are left over teams, these teams will not be used.
Example: You have 6 players, each player will get 10 teams leaving 4 teams that will not be used. If you have 4 players each player will get 16 teams and no teams will be left.

Step 3
After the draft, the teams you have drafted, will be your teams for the entire tournament. For each game/round your teams win, you will be awarded points based on whichever Ncaa tournament scoring system(round 1=1pt, round 2 =2pts ect...) you use. If you go to our Bracket Scoring Systems page we discuss this further. After the championship game total up everyone's points, the person with the highest total wins.

Variation
An easy variation of this would be to draft one region at a time.
