There are two different 8 Team Consolation variations below. The first version allows the losers in the quarterfinals and semifinals to drop to the consolation bracket, where they will play for 3rd place. The second version sends the winners of the first round to the winner's bracket and the losers of the first round to the consolation bracket. Once a player or team is in a particular bracket, they will remain in that bracket for the duration of the tournament.
